Tops Friendly Markets sent a written reply, and incentive to give them another try.

Dear Mr. Anbinder,

Thank you for taking the time to send us your comments. We enjoy hearing from our customers and appreciate the opportunity to address your concerns.

Unfortunately, Tops does not have information to provide to you regarding this matter. For information regarding the A&P in Lansing, NY, please contact A&P directly.

We realize that from time to time a customer may forget their Bonus Card. To make sure that the customers aren't penalized for this, we ask them to bring their Bonus Card and the receipt to the Service Desk the next time they shop to receive the discount they missed. We are happy to inform you that we are in the process of providing our stores with card for customers who may have forgotten their Bonus Card.

We would like to apologize for your experience in the Tops Friendly Market located at 2300 N. Triphammer Rd. Your comments have been forwarded to the Bonus Card Department for future program changes.

As a gesture of goodwill, we are enclosing a Tops Merchandise Certificate in the amount of $10.00. Please use it at your convenience at any of our stores.

Again, thank you for contacting us. We enjoy hearing from our customers. We value your input as a useful tool that helps us shape the way we do business.

Sincerely,

Jeanette Melendez
Consumer Response Representative

Editor's Note: The Tops web site still shows only one Ithaca location, and doesn't mention their Triphammer Road store (technically in the Village of Lansing) or their Collegetown Tops Express store.
