Cover Story: 40 years of musical magic on Bound for Glory

August 27th, 2006 is officially "WVBR's Bound for Glory Day" in the City of Ithaca, and for good reason. Mayor Carolyn Peterson has presented an official Proclamation to WVBR General Manager Matt Leftwich, congratulating show host Phil Shapiro and all the Friends of Bound for Glory for presenting many years of folk music to the Central New York listening audience.

    Restaurant Row in downtown Ithaca got its start when Plums opened in the spot where the Mahogany Grill sits now, joining Simeon's and Hal's Deli to form a critical mass. The latest addition to this diverse cluster of restaurants is the Ithaca Ale House. This Aurora Street eatery features a wide selection of beers on tap, still more beers in bottles, and good food in a relaxing environment.
